Martin Royalton-Kisch is a former Senior Curator of the Department of Prints and Drawings at the British Museum. He has written and lectured widely on European art by the old masters, organising exhibitions of these. He has also written about modern and contemporary art, in which he has a keen interest.

His publications include Old Master Drawings from the Malcolm Collection (1996), and The Light of Nature: Landscape Drawings and Watercolours by Van Dyck and his Contemporaries (1999). He is currently compiling a complete catalogue of Rembrandt’s known drawings (www.rembrandtcatalogue.net).
